Tegernsee is easily accessible from Munich - just over an hour by car.

From Munich Airport

We recommend pre-booking via Blacklane or Uber Reserve for fixed-price private transfers, or simply catching a taxi at the airport.

Return trip to Munich

We recommend pre-booking with Blacklane or Uber Reserve, as ride-hailing services like Uber are not available for real-time booking in Tegernsee, and local taxis are in short supply.

By Train

Trains also run regularly from Munich to Tegernsee. The journey involves a few connections and a taxi or bus at the end, so we don’t recommend it unless you are comfortable navigating the German train system. Detailed instructions are here.
